The evolution of CCTV and IP Surveillance

For over seven decades of revolution, the CCTV technology had evolved from monitoring to recording, low resolution to high resolution, all this is about security nowadays.

Originally Live Monitoring CCTV

The first CCTV Distributor was installed by Siemen AG for testing to observe the launch of V-2 rockets, which also known as Vericon in year 1942. It only involved in two components which are camera and monitors. It used to place the camera which nearby the rocket or sewer pipe when they did the launch testing, so that everyone can monitor through the viewer.

The Primitive Or Emergence Of VCRs

In year 1980’s, the CCTV had evolved from monitoring to recording video. The VCR’s and multiplexers used between the cameras and monitors. The multiplexers allow to monitoring in iconic split screen when multiple cameras install for one monitor. In the other meaning, it can be switch to other channel to watch other camera viewer. At that time, CCTV turn up it can be recording the moment where the camera place. If crime happened, the recording will be given authorities as proof or evidence. So, it is considered as primitive video recordings or the emergence of VCRs.

Digital Age Of "Multiplexing"

In year 2000’s, the world move toward to digitalize, the DVR had substitute by the VCR, the tape which used for recording purposes had substitute by the hard drive such as DVD or USB. The DVR function record internally, also writing over itself when the hard drive is full. With the format implemented, the files are organized accordingly. It helps the users ease of find the video with the time search feature.

The New Generation Network Camera Or IP Surveillance

In the new era century, the technology has advancing and everything is going digitize. The surveillance system as safety and security are one of the important concerns for public.  The most advance technology current market is now using IP Surveillance which also known Network Camera. There are two differences between the DVR and IPSurveillance. One of it is the resolution of the video which contain the IP megapixel cameras are five times or higher than the standard analog video. Functionally, the video can allow the single camera to monitor larger area, zoom in record without losing quality and image clarity. Another one of the differences is web-based and it can control through the computer, mobile phone and certain digital device to monitoring or do video transferring. Therefore, it creates more flexibility and scalability.

It is how impressive the technology improves todays as it really does prove that it helped to prevent crime case. For you property consideration, losing and insecure is not everyone would like it to be happened. The Network Camera will prove how valuable of safety, loss prevention and security of it.
